Mr. Cole is the founder of Artemis Capital Management LP and the CIO of the Artemis Dragon Fund LP, Artemis Vega Strategy, and Artemis Hedgehog Strategy.

The mission of Artemis is to create opportunities from change for investors.

Mr. Cole is considered a pioneer in the trading of volatility as an asset class, specifically volatility futures and options. In addition to volatility trading, he focuses on macro and portfolio construction and is the creator of the Dragon Portfolio™ (or "100-Year Portfolio") as an alternative to 60/40 and Risk Parity.

Mr. Cole's macro-volatility research garnered a wide following on Wall Street, and thereafter widely quoted by the mainstream financial press. His research papers, Volatility at World’s End (2012), Dennis Rodman and the Art of Portfolio Optimization (2016), Volatility and the Alchemy of Risk (2017), What is Water in Markets (2018), Allegory of the Hawk and Serpent (2019), and Moneyball for MPT (2021) are widely regarded as some of the best macro-vol thought pieces of the past decade. Mr. Cole is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and in the mainstream financial media. He previously worked in capital markets at Merrill Lynch and structured over $10 billion in derivatives and debt transactions working in NYC. He founded Artemis from a bedroom in Santa Monica with personal capital after trading volatility through the 2008 financial crisis.

Mr. Cole holds the CFA designation and is a member of the Chicago Futures Exchange (CFE) Trading Advisory Committee.
